Welcome.

Hello. Glad you stumbled upon my blog. Without too much adieu, I'll tell you why I started this blog. For two reasons, actually.

Reason # - I wanted another way to hold myself accountable whilst on my weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey.

Reason #2 - I wanted to share my ups and downs with whoever might listen. But most importantly, I hope my sharing inspires someone who maybe has been stuck for a while in their own struggle to lose weight and become a healthier member of society.

So, with that said, let me say this. There is nothing fancy, no super "WOW" moments to my story. Just the same old thing you'll read in half a dozen health magazines about the middle aged mom who's always struggled with weight gain/loss here and there.

There aren't any special tricks I've done, nor an excessive amount of weight loss. No super exercises, P90X, Taebo, Taichi, Tai anything, gym memberships, diet pills, juice diets, Indian Sweats or any other crazy gimmicks that are aiding me. Just self-respect and some good old fashioned discipline and a willingness to learn about what goes into my body and how it affects me.

And the reason it's so important is because I don't want to live like this anymore. I don't want to live comparing myself to the "fat people" and their worst. What good is that doing me, comparing my best to someone else's worse? If you think about it, it doesn't' make either of us look good. And looking good is where I want to be.

So, if you want to honest thoughts for an average person, hang around. I don't claim to be an expert on ANYTHING I talk about except for myself, and even that is subject to interpretation. I will give my opinion, of course, but this is a personal journey blog. Take it with a grain of salt (Or not, for those with high blood pressure) and just go with it.

Again, welcome.

A
